Welcome to your therapeutic journey. My approach to therapy is to guide you towards building a life worth living for your unique self. We build a life worth living through building mindfulness, being able to tolerate stressful situations without making it worse, accumulating positive emotions, learning to regulate intense emotions, improve relationships, and build mastery through the use of coping skills. Through learning these skills, I provide my clients with the opportunity to be skillful enough to handle all of life’s stressors and not allow the stressor to impact their daily functioning. I create a therapeutic relationship that is free of judgements and expectations to allow for growth within the therapeutic process. I teach my clients to stop fighting reality and reach towards acceptance of what we cannot control. I may challenge thought processes to move towards healing. I would love the opportunity to work with you and assist you with your unique needs.
My experience includes working with teens within the high school and within an agency level. I have worked in a co-occurring inpatient treatment facility helping individuals with severe mental health and substance abuse issues. I have worked with law enforcement to provide crisis interventions in various settings. I truly have a passion for helping my clients learn to reduce symptoms and become effective in dealing with any situation that arises.
